The aim of this session is the mathematical theory, computational and statistical methods, optimization and applications of neural network systems. Original papers in these fields are sincerely and warmly invited, with the topics of this session including (but not limited to):

• Mathematical modeling of neural networks

• Computation and statistics in complex neural network systems

• Dynamical analysis of synchronization, spatiotemporal patterns and cluster behavior in complex neural networks, with effects of time delay and noise

• Structures, functions and efficiency of complex neural networks

• Optimization and optimal control of complex neural systems

• Adaptive control, robust control, learning control of neural systems

• Cognitive information processing, learning and memory functions in biological nervous systems and brain

• Mathematical and computational analyses in artificial intelligence, machine learning, simulation software of neural networks, neurocomputers, neurochips and others.
