In general, most visitors will require Chinese visas in order to enter China. We strongly advise that participants should arrange for their visa application at least TWO months before their departure for China.

To apply for a BUSINESS/ACADEMIC visa to attend WCGO2009, you should check that you have:

* completed a visa application form
* one recent passport photograph
* current passport which is valid for over 6 months from the date of entry into China.
* return flight ticket
* visa notification letter (issued after the registration fee and hotel deposit are paid)
* proof of hotel reservation (issued after the hotel deposit is paid)

In order to receive your visa letter and proof of hotel reservation via airmail, you need to:

* fill out the registration form
* fill out the accommodation form
* pay the registration fee
* pay the hotel deposit.

For participants coming to Beijing with family members who are not attending wcgo2009, please provide the names of the family members in the registration form. We will automatically generate a visa notification letter to include them.

Participants are advised to consult the nearest Chinese diplomatic mission for details.

Once in China, the participants are advised to carry their passports with them at all times.
